Should YOU Buy Batman Arkham City in 2021? Game Review

Batman arkham city released back in October of 2011 and is a open world action adventure game based on batman and is part of the popular batman arkham franchise. This is my review of batman arkham city in 2021 over 9 years later!
The best batman game?

Batman Arkham city is 9 years old I mean just let that sink in the game is older than Bruce when his parents took the fattest L possible…

I have to admit I have a soft spot for Arkham city but I think im ready to tackle this game

Welcome to Classic game reviews where we go back in time and take a look at the games of the past and todays game is Batman Arkham city.

This entire first act is pretty much perfect, the story’s pacing so far has been flawless slowly giving out information and leading you on a wild goose chase
introducing a bunch of characters all recognisable while also acting as a tutorial section showing off all the new gameplay additions that have been added.
The combat system has been refined and is better than ever before. Animations are smoother and more fluid, quickfire gadgets work almost perfectly like the bat claw
bataranags and remote electric device. Who didn’t stand there and shock enemies for 10 minutes straight.
Traversal was good at the time but has aged poorly as its just too slow compared to Arkham knight but its faster than Arkham origins which doesn’t make any damn sense
but ill get into that in my batman Arkham origins review which will be coming soon so subscribe if you want to see that
Stealth is more refined as well although the ai seems to have taken a hit compared to Arkham asylum or maybe thats just me.

This story is at the heart of it is about Batman and is inability to accept help from others.
He constantly pushes people away until he’s at his absolute limit, some would say thats what makes him heroic but i have to disagree.
Batman biggest flaw is his lack of emotion. He becomes so obsessed with the batman he forgets Bruce or at least tries too. thats why i love Arkham origins so much
because they actually explore that duality but here its a lot less obvious. for example when Bruce is forced to choose whether to kill rais and save Gotham he would still
refuse. Batman has become bruces escape but the morality that Batman is obsessed with unintellionally gets more people killed more people he could of saved and
thats why i think Dini chose to kill joker. To show that batman isn’t a super hero just a man desperate to escape his real life’s reality as a rich billionaire
surrounded by people who would betray him in a instant. I love that.

Batman Arkham city 9 years later is just as great as i remember and i had a great time reviewing it
Thanks for watching.
